[... senpai knows? he's not sure if that's better or worse.]
i gave him one it was orange it could have been i guess
[or it could be that Nori just finally had it with him coming from nowhere and taking the ace position, that this is the first crack in Seido completely splintering away from him the way his middle school team did, that he let himself get too comfortable and friendly with everyone here... it's been a day.]
[ he knows the honestly frightening feeling of lashing out, words in his mouth he doesn't really believe out of his control.
furuya is - a weird kid. he's always had trouble relying on the team in a way kazuya vaguely recognizes but doesn't think too hard about, uncomfortable about asking. sawamura and kominato always seemed to have him handled, anyway, though maybe that was a mistake, leaving the hard stuff to other people again like it doesn't have anything to do with him.
but furuya came to him with this. he's fucked things up with nabe again, but if he can't keep from making the mistake he'd made the first time someone asked him for help, then what was the point to - anything that happened last fall? he can't take things back, but he can try not to need to. ]
[The question is a surprise. Then again, senpai's answer was a surprise too. If he got two of those roses and he knows it's what makes people get angry then he must've had that happen to him too but from the other side.
Satoru's not sure he'd want to see senpai angry, but it can't be much worse than what he already went through. Luckily, he's completely out of roses, so admitting where he is doesn't seem like that big of a deal.]
outside the locker room at the sports centre
[He was ready to go in but practice with Nori so angry at him seemed less than fun, so he's kind of hovering near the door.]
[Every now and then, Satoru does have the ability to do as he's told, and today's taken so much out of him already that this is one of those times. Besides, he told senpai where he was; why would he take off now? The only thing that would've sent him running would've been Nori-senpai showing up first, but that seems unlikely.
Satoru's just leaning against the wall when Miyuki finds him, hands behind his back and legs out at an angle to brace him. He looks over when Miyuki addresses him, uncertain. Miyuki seems to know what's going on so it's unlikely he's going to get in trouble over this, but it is keeping him from practice.
[ Kazuya pulls to a stop, dropping his hands on his hips, and shrugs. They'd all gotten flowers - being mad at Furuya for trying to do something nice is doable, but too much energy. He already knows Furuya is just about the last person who'd want to make Nori - of all people - angry with him. ]
I'm pretty sure nobody knew.
[ What colors did what, anyway. He tosses his head toward the lobby. ]
C'mon, Coach gave us the day.
[ He starts to move again, pausing next to Furuya in case he needs extra motivation, but they're not having this conversation inside the sports center, where their teammates especially could overhear any minute. ]
We're not using the track today, so we're going over there.
[ Their bleachers are nicer, and, anyway, there aren't that many people on the track, usually. ]
[Hearing that nobody knew is only a small comfort. If it's bad enough among the team that the coach said nobody had to practice, things must be pretty bad.
Satoru stands up straight when Miyuki pauses near him then turns and follows when he goes. Distance feels like a good thing right now. Part of him wants to go into the locker room and try to find Nori, maybe challenge him to a pitch off to prove that they're not so different since he still doesn't want to speak anymore, but this is better. Miyuki can be twisted, but he's smart and he knows Nori better than anybody else, certainly better than Satoru. If he says they're going, they're going.
He's quiet as they walk, trying to figure out where to start. If it's the flowers' doing then it's really nobody's fault, but, 'I made Nori-senpai hate me,' still feels like the truest thing. When they reach the bleachers, he stops, waiting to see if Miyuki will sit. Not having practice doesn't mean getting out of working; for all he knows, they'll have this conversation on the run.]
Re: time's a lie and the gov't knows abt it
what?
dead people come back to life, okay. ]
he's mad at you?
what happened?

[ It won't be hard to find a giant freshman as long as he's standing still.
Kazuya has to take a moment to talk to Coach, talking vaguely about the flowers, before he's scooting out of practice before it even starts.
He rounds the corner in his practice uniform, hat pushed back on his head and sunglasses on... yes, inside. ]
